Welcome! Songspawn is a project that allows me to share my recordings of original music and covers of songs I enjoy. While many of the covers will be from the 60s, 70s and 80s, I generally just record anything I like to play.
This site will also showcase the equipment and instruments I am using, and eventually may include how-to videos if I feel I have any knowledge that is worth sharing.
All of the recordings are completed solely by myself, and this includes the performance, engineering, mixing, mastering and accompanying video creation.
I hope you find something you enjoy.

Everything I love in one tele. Roasted neck, binding, bigsby, and a relic.
Fender CS '62 Stratocaster Relic
Not everyone digs a relic, but for me it's like wearing an old pair of jeans. Comfy and a ton of mojo.

A limited 3-pickup run from 2014. Just stunning.

A classic. Sometimes it's the only guitar that will do.

One of the most beautiful tops I've seen on a guitar. TV Jones pickups to boot.

Extremely versatile, and looks awesome.
Gretsch 6659 Broadkaster Jr.
Maybe the most underrated Gretsch in my opinion. Amazing what it can pull off.

This thing shimmers, and gives you huge bang for the buck.
Duesenberg Fairytale Split King
One of the coolest instruments around. It's like having a pedal steel on your lap.

Gotta have a blingy banjo, and there's a pickup on this one for easy recording.
Show Pro Pedal Steel
Custom built by Jeff Surratt, it sounds every bit as good as it looks.
Roland VAD 507 V-Drums
With a couple extra toms and cymbals thrown in for good measure.
Yamaha DGX-670 Digital Piano
Nothing fancy, but extremely useful. Used mostly for playing MIDI.
